i am making the arc de triumph in france what should i make it out of

I would build a basic frame out of luann (spelling?) its thin (1/8th inch) plywood that is laid under linoleum floors using a jigsaw to shape the arcs. Then I would use 1/8 inch thick layer of clay to form the facade (carvings and details). The inside ceiling area would be the toughest part. Good Luck!

try durabond sheetrock mud,you just mix it with water it sets in 60 mins then go to chiseling,it can also be cast in a simple form like concrete it can even be sanded!

i think that for convenience air dried sculpturing clay over a wire armature is the way to go and then paint it.

I like to braze and weld..Copper, when you complete it, let it patina naturally and it will be awsome
