Where is the best place to get already cut logs for use with chainsaw carving?

Seasoned would be better, but even unseasoned and the best places that people who have did chainsaw carving usually get theirs at.

Depending on where you live, you can go to saw mills and get thier cut-offs, or if you are close to me, I have a ton of them.

Landscapers and tree trimmers usually have to pay to dump their waste, and when the log is too big for the chopper, they have to haul it away.

They use chain saws every day and are therefore likely to support the idea that the tool they are likely to be very good at using themselves, would be used to create art

The fact that they would be able to dispose of the trunks in an eco-friendly way that would cost them less is likely a no-brainer on their part.
