Is there a way to speed up the Patina process (vertigris) on copper?

To turn copper green spray with 1/2 strength Muriatic Acid. Sprinkle with kosher salt. Place in sun. With in 24 hours it will look like 100 years old!

just finished a large piece of hammered copper in Mexico last month the patina you want can be gotten by putting the piece in a large plastic bad put in some ammonia and some vinegar and seal the ad if you want type in patina on dogpile.com and read to your hearts content there are thousands of recipes depending on what you want make sure the copper is cleaned really good so the oil on your hands is not impeding the action of any patina that you use you can get copper to turn about 12 colors that last time I checked good luck

i gild with copper i use copper sulfate solution...it goes green in a few minuts.

try liver of sulfur we used it in industrial arts class when I was a kid.
