Soapstone:
1. Mineral of white and greenish colors, soft, so soft that it can be stripped with the nail. It is a magnesium silicate also employed as lubricating substance, and, by the name of tailor soap, serves to make signs in the fabrics.

Alabaster:
1. Variety of white stone, not very hard, compact, and sometimes translucent, of marble-like appearance; it is used to make sculptures or architectural decoration elements. Chemically consistent of calcium carbonate and susceptible to fine polishing.
It is also denominated alabaster a variety of compact and translucent plaster, employed in tiles for the rooms, and the varieties purest, in objects of adornment.
