I have a friend who wants to start melting glass bottles in their kiln. They have all the info on how to melt the bottles, but haven't been able to find anything about adding labels. We have seen items online that have labels on them....are they just glued to the bottom of the flattened bottle, or is there another method for putting labels on melted items?

Thanks!

gently steam the labels off then preserve them while you melt the bottle then glue them back on

Part of the secret is to soak the labels again to make them very soft before applying them. Use a water soluble glue like Elmer's White glue or mucilage. Treat them sort of like decals.
