I'm 15, and have been thinking about future careers, and photography and teaching kindergarten are the two that keep coming up. What kinds of things do I need to know for photography? I only have a cheap digital camera right now, what kind of camera would I need, and how much would it cost?

Pictures I've taken:

They're dated '67, '69 and '75. There are some soldiers in there (US and S. Vietnamese) but they look like they're taken by a tourist. About 1/3 are of flowers. There's parks and shows in Saigon and Thailand, as well as a Bhuddist temple w/gold statues, and bombed out buildings where the VC had been holed up.

Is anybody missing these, and if not then who would be most interested in archiving them?

I found them at a thrift store in Ocala, Florida.

My DC4800 camera is 6 years old, but still works well. But the photos show tiny white, red, and blue dots. Just tiny speckles, not flares. I tried higher resolution and 100 ISO, but didn't reduce dots much. I did clean my lenses, but no avail. I hate cleaning all spots out. Any helpful hints will be appreciated! Thanks!

I ordered a Sony Cyber-shot 8.1MP DSC-HP and it should be coming within the next few days! :) I know it's not the most professional, but it really is quite amazing for only being 8.1MP and for it's price. I tested it at the store and completely fell in love! (but, heck, after having a 5mp Kodak, anything beats that!)

Anyway! Haha. I was reading about this camera and I felt so naive about what I was reading. Here are the things I had trouble understanding, if you know what any of the following is/means, please tell me. :)

- Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens
- ISO
(ex, ISO 3200, High-sensitivity ISO)

Oh! And it comes with one Lithium-ion NP-BG1 battery.

I'm planning on buying a second battery anyway, but a battery like that..how long would it last in one session before it dies? Thanks!

I'm so excited for my camera!

Can someone help me with these 10? I'll choose you as best answer. True or false:

1. Usual placement for mainlight is at a 45 degree angle: T OR F
2. Correct position for mainlight is on the left: T OR F
3. Normal position for camera places lense on subject's nose: T OR F
4. The traingular patch of light made should extend from the eye down:
5. The shadow under the nose should travel diagonal
6. Fill light show cast it's own shadows:
7. Main-to-fill ratio of 3:1 OR 4:1 is right for portraitures
8. When she has light blonde hair you should use a dark backdrop for seperation:
9. Hairlight should be aimed at the top of the head
10. Accent light is usually a small spot

When im indoors in a very well lit room with my camera in aperture priority mode and the flash on, the aperture is at 4.0 and the shutter speed between 15/20. Is this normal? Should the shutter speed be so low? How can i ever take an action shot under these conditions? Then when i do snap the pic, the shutter stays open so long that i try to find a way to get it to close just out of aggravation. Same thing outside only opposite. When i raise my ap to something high for a landscape pic, the speed is so low again that it will nver take.

I have a Canon Digital Rebel. I ahve doing photography for quite some time and am now starting to focus onw edding photography. I have only done 2 weddings, and though I am good with photoshop, I am realiziing that i need some new lenses in order to really make my photos much higher quality.....and not spend hours on photoshop! The max I can afford right now is $500. I prefer the $200-$300 range. Any sugestions?

I look different on practically every photo or video i look at. I have heard that cameras mirror images and can make people look fatter so dont show the true picture of how others actually see you. is there a way of seeing yourself as others actually see you in real life? a special camera or ive heard there is a trick with mirrors putting them at 90 degreess to each other but does this actually work? funny question but it is really peeing me off!

If you had to name 3 lenses that are essential for wedding and portrait photography, which ones would they be? I know there are many that make the job and work turn out better, but which three are must haves? Please give focal length and max apertures.

My photos are real blurry. I know its not the iso! And I know my camera really well. I have A mode for artistic, S mode for standard and P mode for perfect. I have it set to P mode and it still makes them blurry. I know it has something to do with the white balance. Please help!
