Adobe photoshop elements 6. It was rather pricey and I thought I would be able to do lots of cool things with my photos. But I can't figure it out.

You've already gotten lots of good info above.
But I'll add this: Learn the Basics of Optimizing your images BEFORE you even think about doing the "cool stuff."

Like anything else worth doing, Photoshop requires some work, and practice. The Help files that are included with the software are the best place to start ... after, you've learned my basics, of course!

There is like an 800 page book on how to do some of the stuff on Photoshop...best bet is to take a class on it. There isn't enough space to tell u how to use it here.

ok what you need is to get "Total Training" form adobe it will teach you all you need. I used it and it helped alot.
