My DC4800 camera is 6 years old, but still works well. But the photos show tiny white, red, and blue dots. Just tiny speckles, not flares. I tried higher resolution and 100 ISO, but didn't reduce dots much. I did clean my lenses, but no avail. I hate cleaning all spots out. Any helpful hints will be appreciated! Thanks!

The guy above me is on the right path, but technically a dead pixel is a single pixel that does not light up (complete lack of information). What you have is a "stuck pixel".

Does the problem occur with the LCD screen only, or when you transfer the pictures onto your computer?

If the stuck pixels make their way onto your computer then your camera's sensor has become defective, or just worn out.

You won't be able to get rid of the problem if the cause is your sensor, but you CAN use it as an excuse to buy a new camera. ;)

Good luck, hope this helps!

I had really warm oatmeal and that i have been given a white colored area on the end of my tongue. It frightened the crap outta me, yet i did not smoke any wacky tobacky. I study up about it on WebMD and that i'm all more advantageous. It stayed white for a at the same time as and changed into numb, yet I were given over it. no more advantageous warm cereal for me. Peace~Raylene?

6 year old digital camera? Maybe it's time to start shopping for a new camera. It will KILL you to junk a camera that cost three times as much as a camera that is three times better, so brace yourself for a hard dose of reality.....

I'd like to see them. Perhaps dead pixels?
