I'm 15, and have been thinking about future careers, and photography and teaching kindergarten are the two that keep coming up. What kinds of things do I need to know for photography? I only have a cheap digital camera right now, what kind of camera would I need, and how much would it cost?

Pictures I've taken:

Look at the many different types of photography careers there are out there and find an area that interests you, that way you can focus in on the right information. Try to find a local camera club and get involved in competitions to improve your skills and glean knowledge from others.

There is tons of stuff on the internet that gives great tips. Check out other photographers' works and see what really catches your eye in a photo, and what you find displeasing.
Your school probably has a photography class, so I would suggest taking that course.

i think ur pictures are good..

Things i've learned(i took photography in high school)
In h.s i learned hoe to develope b&w and he taught us about lighting, lens, the power of 3, etc...

# Aperture (f-stops)
# Shutter Speeds
# Depth of Field
# Lens Focal Length
# Digital Image Sensors
# Color Temperature & White Balance

I guess it all depends if your interested in digital or like old kind that you have to develop and do yourself?

When your ready with money go to a camera store and tell them you want to know what camera is the best and they can help you find one and tell you about it.

Go to Your local library and see if they have books about photography they have a bunch out there that go into things you should know

Lighting and aperture. The rest is practice and artistic skill.
