I can't seem to find what the size of the jar was in the controversial "Piss Christ" photo. I don't want to know how big the picture was, just the jar size... And I don't need to know you're opinion on the photo either... Just looking for the facts. Thanks for any help!

Please take a look at my Flickr page and tell me if I have any talent/potential in photography. I know that alot of the photos on there aren't very good, but I think some might be. Let me know what you think with comments on Flickr and here!

Ok there is a book you can make which has the magazine feel or like I like to compare it to is a high school year book. And I want to do a photo book for a friend and don't want to get a crappy book yet at the same time I don't want to give an arm and leg to get this for her. Has anyone out there ever done this for themselves or someone else if so where did you go and how did it turn out? Thanks in advance!

An image of a nude statue made 2 thousand years ago

or people bluring out the "bits" in the images,

personally I dont get it, we all have bits why distort great art because some fools think its rude or something??

is it political correctness or like the evolution vs creation thing?? ------ just another example of old people decided for us whats ok and whats not instead of letting "people" decide for themselves??

comments...its personal for me because i am greek and have seen the great art works of ancient greece and the thought of people distorting them makes me sick........really whats the issue, some sickos find it pornographic or something??

your comments??

As usual the final in an art class, this case photography, is a self portrait. I always do bad on this because I have such a hard personality to capture in an image. If someone said find pictures that represent your personality I would pick the following: Cat Woman, Rossie the Riveter, A rebel without a cause look, complete with black leather jacket. So any Ideal how to mix these into one image? I respectfully request that suggestions be serious ones, because Im at a dead end and this assignment will be my Final. Thank you!

So someone answered a question that : professional photographers wont exist in ten years because everyone will be able to "take" professional photos.

This answerer proberly believes it

What do you think??

I think this person is clueless, how will digital cameras set up lights? Will sport illistrated be full of soft out of focus, poorly lit images taken on a point and shot? Will playboy be shot by our next door neighbours.

Are we heading towards crap images being called professional?

Do you think the answerer is clueless also??

I'm planning on taking a basic photograohy class next semester and I need a decent camera to learn on.

I like the macro feature on my little Olympus 7.1 point & shoot but I'm looking to step it up and get some really good quality shots.

I like to shoot up close, detailed things and play with different lighting and angles.

Any suggestions?

I'm going to be purchasing a new wide angle lens for my Nikon D200 soon. I'm looking for some suggestions as to which one.

I'm looking for something short, fast, and that's pretty much it. Obviously I want as much quality as I can get for a reasonable price.

Write your own review of your favourites, or send links to great reviews and product descriptions. I ALWAYS come back and pick a best answer once the question is closed. :o)

Thanks for your advice!

It seems that when I photograph them indoors there is not enough light and I get no detail in their eyes, and outdoors they look too washed out. Is there a secret recipe for lighting? I use a Nikon D50 and a mounted flash.

He found this memory card with pictures from Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam etc. There are also 2 pictures of what we assume is their backyard with several pumpkins in the grass. The pictures were taken in October 2006. There is also a picture of a couple having dinner in Las Vegas with the Paris in the background. We assume that they are the owners of the card. Anybody have any good ideas of how to find them? We wold really like to return the card to them!

I'm looking to get started in photography. I took a class in analog black and white a few years back and it was REALLY interesting. I think I had a knack for it besides my pictures always being slightly out of focus (damn eyes!).

I'm interested in a digital camera around 400 or 500 dollars that has a good amount of manual features =)

OK, here's the deal. I want an external flash unit, only because I want some kind of motion-stopping power without the harsh "direct light" effect. I want to be able to bounce it, diffuse it...(by the way, when they say defuse, do they mean soften it so it's not so harsh?) plus I want more power.
The only problem is that I also want an X to 300mm (the first Focal Length doesn't really matter, only if it's below 100) I figure that I could save money by getting an IS lens to freeze the motion. The only problem is, I have no Idea how much it'll help with low shutter speeds, and yes I know the "focal length>higher than SP>Need IS lens rule, I just want to know how effective they are. I mean, unless I want SUPER freezing motion, do I just need an IS lens for camera shake, even at night? What events do they work well in?
So let's recap. I want to eliminate camera shake, but not with built in flash. Also want xmm-300mm, IS will solve both problems, is it worth it/will it work?
