I know it's a strange question, but i'm going to be taking santa pictures at a few events and i'm looking for a good program to use to have the pictures come right off my camera after taking it and then can be sent right to the printer.

Its called a camera, and printer, if the camera doesnt connect to the printer, their will be a PC in between. Same as at the office, at home, anywhere else..

I know what you are talking about. I did that twice....hated the job. I warn you, it is not fun. The parents get ill. They want you to take half an hour and try to get the screaming kid to smile.

But I do not know what program it is. Try searching for "photography programs" or "instant photography programs" maybe "how to instantly proof and sale photography" "onsite photo printing"

We used a thermal printer. Please don't use an inkjet. They are crappy and take forever.

The first two posts aren't correct. I'm sure you are wanting a program where the customer can view 2 or three shots and pick the best. The one we used also had borders you can add (tacky, but people love them). It would print either 2 5x7s or a 5x7 and 3 wallets.

I would call software companies or camera companies and tell them exactly what you are needing. They are out there somewhere.

Although I don't take Santa photos I do shoot with my camera tethered to a laptop. I use DSLR Pro to link the camera and Camlynx to handle the photos and info that accompanies them. A printer could be hooked up for immediate printing, although I don't do that.

You can even by-pass the computer all together and get a printer that prints straight from the camera. Just hook up the camera to it. I think it's Canon that has it.
