I take so many pictures of trees with my 5 megapixel digital Nikon camera and so often they do not look realistic. They look like a bad watercolor. I have tried every setting. What can I do differently? Also, is it possible to get really good pictures with a point and shoot digital camera?

I went to Walgreens.com, and the largest option they have for pictures is 8x10's. Anyone know of somewhere I can get larger ones made?

Three dimensional 3D photography is claimed "too old".
But flat 2D photography is even older, and there is no 4D photography, and just scientific teories are existent about further dimensions.

Don't even think of linking dirty sites/photos. CLEAN is what I'm aiming for.

The camera is made in late 70's, early 80's -- Still Works! I need to know in laymens terms how and what the number mean on the lens, which settings take great pictures, and if you have a similar camera and ideas on how to take good pictures. Also, can the picture use color film, instead of black and white. Thanks

I am about to work in my own photo studio, and I am new to it so I would like to know what lights I should use.
I think that I want 800 Ws. I wish not to spend more than $1200. I know I should have at least 3.
What books or websites should I look into as well?
Thanks.

i mean, we've almost reached a point where Mega pixels in a camera is irrelevant since most people won't blow up images to poster size. I'm thinking improvements on features like IS, more user friendly cameras, smaller and more compact? thanks, your input is appreciated.

still life photographers? I've looked at Sarah Lynch, Lucinda Devlin, and Veronica Bailey. Are there any others?
And also are there any photographers who use barbed wire in their pictures a lot?

I'm grateful for any answers but please don't advise to 'google it', I need names and information as part of a project. Again, thanks in advance

When I look at the mirror, I even look
good than ordinary people that I can see
everyday.
But when I take a picture, I look very ugly
that I can't find someone ugly like I look
in the picture !

It's weird because if another people take
picture they just look as they are.
But if it's me, it looks terrible.

Even if I take a picture of myself reflected
in the mirror, I still get a ugly face.

My eyes are weird or what ?

I have a DSLR, and I went to a high-school football game last week to try and get some good pictures from the stands.

Realize it was dark, and the only lighting I had were the main field lights.

I ended up boosting my ISO to 1600 and using the lowest aperture my lens supported (3.3). Still many of my shots turned out blurred.

Any more advice?

My uncle sent me the pictures he took on a CD because he's not the most adept computer user. I have an account with shutterfly and photoworks, but I don't see how to download all the pictures from an album at once. I know you can right click on each picture, but that takes forever.

My uncle wants to have all the pictures from several people to put together a nice album for Christams.

I'm curious as to what one lens the serious shooters in here most covet.

You may list two if you can't decide on just one. Please explain why you want to add your choices to your camera bag.

I have two:

Minolta 35mm f2.8 SHIFT CA:

This lens is a "perspective control" lens used to photograph buildings and eliminate the "falling backwards" look you get when you tilt the camera up to get the entire building in the frame. It also has "Variable Field Curvature" which allows you to "curve" the plane of focus for concave or convex objects. Rare. Expensive.

Minolta 17mm f4:

The widest rectilinear lens they offered. 104 degree angle of view with zero distortion of vertical lines. Rare. Pricey.

How can you use the light and the shadow in order to make the shape of the object beautiful and clear? I am shooting a ceramic by digital camera. I use the strong light in the dark space. I want to express the 3 Dimensional beauty of the object.

I'm working on an art piece that will be a collage of many people's faces, mainly celebrities or major historical figures. To obtain faces, I wish to find photos on the web and use Photoshop to extract out only the heads of the subject. Is it legal to use this altered photo in a project that may be of potential commercial use? Is this akin to using music samples from songs to make new commercial songs?
