i mean, we've almost reached a point where Mega pixels in a camera is irrelevant since most people won't blow up images to poster size. I'm thinking improvements on features like IS, more user friendly cameras, smaller and more compact? thanks, your input is appreciated.

I think we will have a lot more storage and our computers will be able to process the images faster.

At the rate things are improving, we may end up with cellphones that can produce images like the ones on this site:

As "fphotoace" mentions, faster sensors are key. We're going to want to shoot unlimited number of frames in as rapid a succession as a motorized film advanced cameras. And we are not willing to wait for the camera to process these images before we aim and shoot again.

I also see higher resolution in smaller cameras, such as those used in security systems and inspection processes.

I hope to see battery life improve by factors of ten, or more. And, quick charging systems for them.
