I am about to work in my own photo studio, and I am new to it so I would like to know what lights I should use.
I think that I want 800 Ws. I wish not to spend more than $1200. I know I should have at least 3.
What books or websites should I look into as well?
Thanks.

Just do a google search for photographic lighting. You'll find plenty of books that will help you.

Monte Zucker was a Master Portrait Photographer. Any of his books would be worth reading.

Look at these sites:

lightingmagic.com

ephotozine.com/article/studiolighting

betterphoto.com/photocourses/VIK02.asp

The Oct. issue of Shutterbug Magazine is devoted to lighting and lighting products. Go to shutterbug.com to read it on-line.
