I need some ideas for my college photography class. There was no prompt, it can be anything we want. Which leaves me clueless. Any ideas?

I have heard of people doing this at Walmart and CVS, but I wonder if I'm confusing this with printing from digital cameras. Is there a store where I can take my pictures and get duplicates and resized prints?

I'm on a budget, though.

Looking at this video, how much do these kind of lights cost and what kind of lights are they? How much is the background and where do I get one?

Thanks

I want to do some volunteering and would like to find something where I could use my love of photography. One place I found so far was a local county park taking photos for brochures and website. I did a search for volunteer opportunities in my area but most were administrative skills, preparing or serving food, etc... One idea I had was offering to start some type of program. Any ideas on where to start looking for such volunteer positions?

We are going to Magic Kingdom tonight to see the holiday lights and the Spectromagic light parade. I want to take good pictures without carrying a lot of equipment. It will be night, and I will be taking shots of lights and moving lights as well as shots around the park. Here's what I have:

Nikon D80 with three lenses:
AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 DX SWM ED
AF Nikkor 50mm 1:1.4 D
AF-S Nikkor 18-200mm 1:3.5-5.6 DX SWM VR ED IF

The latter is my preferred lens for walking around, but I only have the built-in flash, and the long lens casts shadows. The 50mm is best for low light and motion, but I also plan to take close-up shots, which the stationary lens doesn't allow for. The first lens is OK for regular use, but it's slow in low light. However, I'll be taking photos of lights, so will this compensate for the low light surroundings?

Two questions: What lens should I use, and on what settings? I need help as soon as possible on this one!

It just looks awful, dull and flat, tried fiddling in CS3 and gave up. It's good for the trash basket, but thought I'd take the opportunity to ask you why it's like this first.

I own a Canon 20D and a 10D digital Cameras. I have an old Canon EF 75-300mm 1:4-5.6 zoom lens that I bought back in 1996! So I know this lens was never designed for digital SLR cams. I'm on a very limited budget so I need to know which of these lens is better. The Tamron is in my reach more so then the Canon USM lens. But I want to get the best of the two. Obliviously the more expensive lens would work better. So my question, which of these two is the better lens to invest in.

I was asked by two of my friends to takes some action photos of them. There both athletic and she into the Martial Arts.
Plus they wants some fashion style creative shots in the city too. It just would be one camera and maybe a small tripod. I don't want to be to obvious with the photography because some place get funny about picture taking. I was thinking Santa Monica because I live near Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach. But I have shot down there many times. Besides near the SM Pier and the Third Street Promenade, does anybody have other suggestions for cool backdrops and locals in Santa Monica, CA for picture taken?

I am shooting with a Canon rebel. I do not know much about the camera. I usually just shoot and pictures turn out fine. However, tonight I'm trying to do some product pictures with this makeshift whiteboard studio I set up. I have one floodlight and two "daylight" bulbs set up to shine on the objects nd it looks really bright with the naked eye, but the pictures are turning out very yellow. With the flash ON and the lights OFF it looks great, except that it gets darker at the edges of the photo. Some of the objects i need to photograph are kind of large so that might be an issue. Can you take a look and offer any advice? Please keep in mind I have never really adjusted the settings on this camera so I would need very thorough instructions if I have to change something. Thanks!
