Photography

I was going to take photography classes , at my High school , but I just found out that you have to be in 11th grade to take photography , and I will be in 11th grade in 2 years . Is there anything else I can do beside's photography classes to improve my photography.

I accidentally deleted all the photos that i had on my camera (498 to be exact) and i was wondering if there is a way that i can take the pictures that have been stored on my computer and place them back onto my xD memory card. I am dealing with a Mac computer. I have renamed the files, like or example instead of being titled "PB3982.jpg" i have remained them to be called such things as "BeachDay"....has this got anything to do with why they are not being able to be transferred back onto my memory card?

PLEASE HELP SOMEONE!

how did photographers from the 30s to 70s shoot such great freeze frame shots using manual cameras that are hard to focus fast and to set the proper exposure fast??
ALSO...i have 68degree marathon 1:9 and efke kb 100 film..what developing times should i use???

I scheduled an appointment for my boyfriend, son, and I to take professional pictures,but I am don't know whether to wear black or white. The photographer told me that its recommended to match shirts. So what do you guys think would look better all white shirts or all black shirts?? Or what about a different color? Im looking for a site that can show me some dark, scary carousel photos or artwork.Has anyone reading this played the Silent Hill series ? The amusement park in that series is kinda what I had in mind. The carousel scene in part 3 is awesome.So does anyone have any sites to suggest ?

Hi, i'm suppose to write a two paged essay in my photography class. I have to research on famous photographers (it sounds easy but it's not.) I'm having troubles on finding what photographer I want. I don't want random ones, I want to find one that I find interesting and I'll actually LOVE their photo's. I'm into fashion, makeup and nature or romance stuff. i am photographing a xmas ball soon and im going to be taking hundreds of photos, i need to upload them and then sell them on the net but cant find an english site to do it. please help me as i am lost hehe. i dont mind setting up my own site but they always look rubish, any sites who do it with good templates and selling tools?

I found a website for "ALZO" floodlights; this company boasts a new 'cool light' that they claim is better for studio digital photography than flash. However, the prices are outrageous. A three light set up with softboxes for $2,000 to $5,000. Is there any truth to their claim, and if so, are there alternatives to THEIR products? I find it hard to believe they've developed a floodlight that is so superior to any other.
