I have heard of people doing this at Walmart and CVS, but I wonder if I'm confusing this with printing from digital cameras. Is there a store where I can take my pictures and get duplicates and resized prints?

At some Walmarts there is a Kodak Photo Kiosk. These have a scanner in a drawer which you can use to scan your picture and then do whatever editing etc you want and print pictures. Easy as can be!!
You may find yourself spending a lot more time than you anticipated because it really is quite fun to do

I did it on my home printer. I scanned the photos into my computer, and printed them out using HP Photoshop Premier. Print shops should be able to help if you don't have a home printer. Here in G. Junct. Colo. City Market can make duplicates and resize photos. Or Rite-Aid. Good luck.

Yep. They have scanners in these stalls at those stores and others. Walmart Fugi has gotten better reviews from consumer reports than the kodak stalls.

The fugi stall I think prints out on their 1 hour machine for better quality, while the Kodak is self contained, and has variable quality.

Walmart and Walgreens come to mind. They have a Kodak kiosk where you can do all that. Just make sure you're not trying to do studio photos or copyrighted photos. You can get into a LOT of trouble for that.
