I love photography and always bring my camera on every trip I go on. As per usual, I brought my digital camera along with me on my weekend trip to Ballarat.

After getting back from the trip, I loaded the photos onto my computer and began putting on some digital makeup before I presented them on the internet.

And the question hits me. Is what I'm doing "photography" or "photographic art". And what is the difference?

I do admit the my photos on the internet are not original, they were modified to a certain but minor extent. i.e. the most I do is increase saturation and manually change levels in Photoshop not cropping or additional masking etc were done. only saturation and levels

I bought the JTL1500 watt lighting system with boom for overhead lighting. I am a fashion designer and want to photograph my clothing on models. Will this be enough light or do I need something more intense like a 3000 watt system?

So I've been accepted to NYU, Chapman, and USC. I guess the big debate then is, east coast film vs. west. I've heard great things about all the schools, and alot of negatives. NYU esspecially seems to be great for indie film making, which is really what I'm interested in... where as USC seems to just shoot you out into the studio system. So thats great and all, but I'll still need to make money, obviously. Will a school like NYU, so far away from Hollywood and the studio system prepare me to make the right connections in Hollywood? I'd hate to spend 4 years there and a rediculous amount of money, and have nothing to show for it.

I would like to take some proffesional like nude photographs but I am not a professional. I have only a pentax camera of about 220 euro on my posesion and some lights. However my main problem is not so much my equipment as the poses. I want the photographaphs to be highly revealing while not losing there artistic taste...

I for one, find it very hard to take photos of strangers, or just kids in the park. I mean, do you have to ask that person's permission if you could take his/her picture..? There are also times when that person doesn't know but after i take the picture, someone behind me will be staring at me oddly, thinking "is this person a stalker ?".
Help me please, this can probably boost my confidence as an aspiring photographer.

I tried heavy weights on small stacks but didn't work and I have a 65 year accumulation (some in albums are ok) but others in boxes need tender loving restoration. Can you help me. I know this is not about taking photographs but of restoring them to their original flat condition which I intend won't happen again.
Thanks so much for your help-I am desperate.
