As you probably know, images from Y! Search or Google Search are not necessarily fair use.
All images from the Wikimedia Commons are free for use by anybody. Type "owl" in the search bar.

Or, go to the Wikipedia entry for "Owl" and see if the images there are sufficient. Most, if not all, of the pictures on the page should be from the Wikimedia Commons, or are otherwise fair use.

type owl into the search bar in google and click images before you start the search

just type the subject search into googl images you should have no problems at all
