photography: set the lighting
cinematographer: one who set how the film running, changges between screen, ammount of light, angles, etc
cameraman: one who operates the camera.

The DoP works with the Director to create an overall "look" or "mood" for the movie; that is s/he decides the types of shots that will be used, camera angles, helps plan the lighting, suggests transitions between shots, etc.

The Cinematographer plans out the individual shots and sequences of shots, helping decide issues such as camera placments, filters and camera settings to be used.

The Cameraperson executes the shots, as per directions from the Director, DoP, and Cinematographer. S/he is responsible for ensureing the damera operates properly, that the subjects remain in focus and in frame.
