I am going to attempt a stained glass style painting on a window at church. It will be lit up from behind with soft lighting. I need to know what type of paint and medium will work best for this project. Someone told me trasnlucent acrylics, but I would hate to use these only to find out they dont work on glass or peel off.

I purchased a painting at a yard sale of an American Indian woman who is seated. It is done in mainly greys, browns and black and is heavily textured and somewhat abstract. The signature is in the lower left corner and incorporates a bow and arrow making it somewhat difficult to make out. is anyone familiar with this.?

It's French, I think it was done in the 1800s. It looks like one of the Moulin Rouge paintings done by Henri Toulouse Lautrec, but I'm not sure if its his. It is of a blond woman in a long red coat dancing.

I heard on the UK radio this morning that a relatively unknown artist is allowed to exhibit a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the painting has been descibed bu professional critics as awful and amateurish. In the past "artists" have been awarded large sums of money for such art as ' A PILE OF BRICKS ' , an ' UNMADE BED ' etc. How ?
