Originally, tempera was made with pigments and egg yolks; it's a mixture of synthetic pigments, chalky fillers, and a weak binder.

Finger paints are made with cornstarch, sugar and water.

Finger paint is just tempera paint with glycerin added to make it gooey.

i was in art 30, i thought finger painting was just painting with your fingers, i did not know they had special paint for that. Tempura paint is like a cheap version of acrylic paint, its runnier and is easier to clean off your clothes than acrylic paint.
