also who do you feel is the most influential and what piece of work do you find the most appealing? There are many paintings of Matisse I dis like as well asPicasso but I love the drawings of Picasso such as his self portraits. Also the Harlequin

matisse's work is lyrical and beautiful, but i think that Picasso probably has had more influence and has more expression.

Picasso was not only more expressive in his work he was the genius and the real artist. Matisse on the other hand was a con artist. He had no talent above mediocrity. He was called a colourist but even that part of his work was inferior to my work in grade eight! The boy Matisse was a con artist and a lot of people were conned by him.

I think that it is impossible to compare...they are simplly different and both good in their own way
