I love to draw and will love to be a cartoonist. I draw people and animals in a comic style. But I lack on clothes. I have the hardest time looking for a stylist fashion on my characters. So how can I find a website that show gothic, fancy, girly, manly and historical clothing?

Okay, so I just got the Rebel XTi a couple weeks ago... It's my first DSLR, so I really know very little about lens etc... I want to be able to take headshots and I have with the kit lens but I want something better... I was told by a photographer the 70-300 IS would be great.... Will this really give me the best headshots?
Also, from what I've read, the 70 -200 L is amazing....

Thanks so much!

Hi guys i original wanted to get in to computing as a carear but i found that too stressfull and ever since my uncle brought me a camera about 4 years ago i have got in to photography and its what i enjoy the most.

My question is do you think my work is good enough to make a carear out of photography?

My work can be viewed at

This two-year old has fooled the art world into buying and exhibiting his paintings. The 'experts,' say the papers, were falling over themselves to acclaim them. Does this tell you something about 'modern art?' If a two-year old can fool the 'experts,' are works by Picasso and others just mad splashings of paint on canvas as well? I'm no lover of modern art, and I'm told that's because I can't understand its meanings or the meaning of the individual paintings, but I know what I like and what I consider rubbish. Opinions on Freddie and the other 'masters' please.

I often wonder what art forms sell the best at art sales.
do bronze and clay pedistal size sculpture sell better or to medium sized paintings sell better?

or does more functional art sell better ?

I've been working as a freelance for a while now and my work speaks for itself but i'd like to study for a qualification preferably online or by distance learning as i can't afford to give up my full time job.

Does anyone know of any where i can get a recogniseable photography qualification by course work or projects without having to attend every day?

proffesionals photographers used to enhace, edit pictures? Example like the one they use in Glamour Shots, you know that would take fat where you dont want the fat to be, or it will take nasty ugly pinples, would make you teth look better and all of the fancy stuff that they do to pictures now in days, If anybody knows tell me, let me know- I've been trying to look for one or buy one- give name and where to buy it, thanks

In answer to a recent question Jabba commented that "Copyrighting a work of art is not exactly like copyrighting a novel or a musical work, where ownership is contracted for 50, and then a hundred years, and then for 50 more to the publisher, if they are still in business. Artworks are what you would call a real-asset. After the death of the artist, ownership of copyright passes to the person who owns the original".

Everything I have read on the internet indicates that the 50-70 year after death rule would apply.

Can anyone point me to any legal text which indicates that paintings do not fall under the 50-70 year after death rule.

Thanks

I'm designing a calendar for 2009 and already have eight of the months completed, and planning to approach a publisher after I'm done--in about a month. Working title is 'Sensual & Hot Thought-Provoking Women.' Basically, it's an erotic photo calender, with this twist: all the 'models' are successful in intellectual fields. I have one nationally known biologist, a professor of comparative literature, a medical doctor, a theatre director, etc. Models have chosen to what extent they will allow identity to be revealed, i.e., some have faces in shadow, identified only with profession & short bio. (no proper nouns used). Question: do you think this is a good concept and is it marketable (assuming the photos/models are appealing and the art direction is professional since both are true). Serious responses from men & women would be very helpful.

I'm totally new to wood carving and sculpting. Bought a block of balsa wood. My rough model looks so ugly. I can see all the holes of the balsa wood. Those tiny tiny holes which the water and nutrients seep through from the roots. How about basswood?

I used these 3 pics:

To composite this:

What do you think?
The lighting seems a bit off to me, any suggestions on how to fix that?

I'm using Photoshop CS3 with masks

Thanks!
