I have never owned a camera and was looking for something that looked classic or vintage. I found this camera on a clothing website and have been researching it. I have never taken any photography classes although I do know how to put film into cameras. Will this camera be to complicated? And also do I need to buy certain film for it?

I really don't know..

I've got myself a lovely old, Minolta SRT101 camera with the original Rokkor 55mm f1.7 lens attached to it. I'm basically just after some free advice about shooting at night with it. I've got a tripod and one of those release cables. But when it comes to the settings, I'm a little confused. I plan on using 400 ASA films, the widest aperture setting (which is f1.7 on this lens) and shutter speeds like 1/60, 1/30 and 1/15 of a second.

With all these settings in mind and in conjunction with a tripod and release cable, should my shots be really crisp and clear?

I should also point out that the photos I'll be taking will be of city lights, street lit scenes, car light trails etc. so no flash required.

This dumb thing should have been finished by now but it seems like the last week has meant one delay after another after another. The gods are either against me finishing this painting or perhaps created the delays to allow me more time to think through which images to add to the painting. Or my muse is on strike, too!

I have been approached by a director for a leading cosmetics company who is interested in having me photograph an event where clients will be receiving makeovers and I will be taking the before and after photos. I'm just starting out and have never done anything like this so I don't know how to charge them. I was thinking that I would charge either a sitting fee per person or an hourly rate while offering portrait packages to the ladies receiving the makeovers. Would it be fair to offer a percentage of the portrait package sales back to the director since I would have never made the sales if it weren't for her? If so, what percentage? Does anyone have a better idea?

I am writing a short paper about photography in the 1920s, however I need info...all I've got is the internet to get stuff, so if anyone has web sites or names of photographers from the 1920, that'd be awesome! I'm not set in a topic so anything from the 20s will work, just not beyond 1930. please help!
