Hey, I teach art at a preschool for children with special needs. I had them make leafs last week- paint them, print and glitter them up! Now I have over 100 leafs and would like to make a huge tree and put it all together as a mural. Do you have any ideas as to how we can make the tree? I really want it to be 3D. So far, I've come up with drawing a large outline of the trunk and branches and having the kids paper mache it some how and paint it brown- or collage with ropes...?
Thnaks for any ideas!

Please help me... I have some art homework, where I have to study an artist and attempt to use their style when painting... I have forgotten their picture, and can't remember the name, so will need to search it on the internet. All I can remember is that they were a British or American (I think british) male artist who painted natural forms (mainly flowers) in watercolour using a slightly simplistic style with quite dark lines under the light paint... The picture I am doing Is kind of like a sunflower... I think his name was quite long... He is a relitavely modern artist (still alive...) I know this is an impossible question, but it would be really helpful if people could make suggestions of either names or websites... Thanks!

I'm 100% digital but I miss my film. Will I ever get over that? I'm from the old school. I do everything right the first time so I don't need photo shop. Film has taught me well.

I am just wondering what kind of Art this is.

I have been to places such as Spain and its Islands and have seen people in the evening, out in the street with a huge crowd around them. On closer inspection, I find that the crowd are seeing the person do quick paintings using spray paints and tin cans/plates.

Does anyone know what this type of Art is called? I know it may be related to Graffiti but I am not sure.

Thank you in advance.

i've seen tons of gorgeous pictures on flickr and wonder how the pros determine starting exposure settings. Do they just know what to put the aperture and shutter speed at? Because in an instant, a photographic moment might disappear, so how do they get it right? Thanks

I need to find some good ones for research that I'm doing. Google images brings up some good stuff, but at the same time it kind of let me down. Online sources are definitely preferable to print sources. Other pictures of significant/pretty interior features would be awesome, too.

I am shooting a wedding for a friend, in the courtyard of the Saint Marie Hotel in New Orleans. Gorgeous setting. My problem is, it is at night and I have no idea how to get good photos in this situation. I cant get a good feel for the lighting, I have a photo but it is at dusk, I could go to the hotel and look at it at night, but they are bringing in their own lighting for the night of the wedding. It is basically gonna be me showing up and seeing the lighting for the first time and sizing it up. Any ideas?

Here is a pic of the site if this helps at all...maybe you can get a sense of what I am dealing with.

I would like to know if other artists besides Picasso made paintings in response to the Spanish Civil War. If you know photographers (besides Robert Capa) please include them as well.
