The best medicine is to learn from mistakes and take steps to taking better pictures. A bad photo is a bad photo. If the blur is bad there's no hope. There are some tools, such as unsharp mask in the adobe filters that remove some blur, and there are some plug ins that can be added to go another step beyond the unsharp mask but there aren't any miracle working tools , yet. So, with that said, just simply learn to take more precautions in the future such as making sure that shutter speed is greater than 125/1000 and using a flash to make sure that any stop action is focused.

There are several techniques you can use to help with small amounts of blur, a couple of pixels or so. The Unsharp Mask already mentioned which is what most people know about, multiple high pass sharpening, and either (or both) using various masking techniques.

There are also plugins like 'Focus Magic' the use various algorithms to reposition local pixels to sharpen an image.

The techniques in photoshop don't actually sharpen anything. They create the appear of sharpness by increasing local contrast at edges between lightness levels and the brain interprets this as being sharper. The plugins like 'Focus Magic' actually do sharpen an image.

You can look up all the approaches to sharpening an image on the web. All of them are available as free tutorials.

It depends on how blurry it is.

See this question and look at his link. THESE are sharp pictures! Guys, no matter how good you get it in the camera, with digital, you just won't get this sharp without USM.

If you want to just "finish off" digital images with a bit of sharpening, see http://www.flickr.com/photos/samfeinstein/1753537048/ and read the comments.

Taking it to the next level, thanks to Vance's help, also see the same subject in http://www.flickr.com/photos/samfeinstein/1768957753/ I just had another photographer tell me that this one looked like an Ansel Adams image! I wouldn't say THAT, but it is pretty sharp on the main subject.

With a small amount of blur you can use tools like unsharp mask but if it's too blurry there's not much that can be done. As they say, garbage in, garbage out.

If you learn to "get it right" in the camera you won't need to spend time trying to make a mediocre image into an average one. Then you'll have more time to enjoy photography.

My suggestion: Spend some time and READ & STUDY the Owner's Manual for your camera.

depends how bad it is... if it's a teensy bit blurred, then the Sharpen filter should fix it......... if it's really blurred, you stand more chance of seeing Pamela Anderson running naked down your street than you have of fixing it.

Use the Instant Fix or Sharpen in the Application.
