I take a art workshop to get my groove back. It sometimes helps to take a break and try something in another media.

I've been in ruts like that. Some friends and I give each other little challenges, to work our ruts out. Like...
step out your door, walk 8 paces, then shoot what you see, try to be abstract...
or feet, everyone has 2.. shoot as many different feet as you can, doing different things....
open the dictionary, to a random page, and blindly, pick a word in the dictionary, and try to photograph the meaning of the word....
and have fun .. ;)

I generally try to change things up a bit.
If I can't think of a place to get to for whatever outdoor and landscape I want to do, I head to a downtown area, and do some high angle stuff, or something.
I might call a few friends to come down and pose for me.
Just whatever to do something different.
If you still cant get the juices going, find a way to take a great "self-portrait". IT isnt as easy as you might think.

Camera clubs and competitions are great ways to get new ideas. Maybe have a friend suggest a photo challenge for you, say photograph pencils, eggs, couples or some other topic and see what results you get. Go through Flickr looking at Explore.

well, to do so, i simply do watever i feel like doing or catching at that time, which seems to be unique, which is felt by my heart ina very special way, or in the case, i'm bored with that, i try to do digital painting. that's very interesting to me, but, needs a lot of concentration.
ppl at times, call me camera sick, and others call that, may be i'm simply a good photographer.

Do a random image search on either Google Images or Flickr, these two have always bought me new inspiration. Do a search for your town or suburb, you will be surprised.

I live close to the Getty Center (Getty Museum)--and once in a while, I would go to look at their old paintings. It always give me new ideas.
