When I look at drawing, it's almost always chubby or old body. It's somewhat common in charcoal art as well.

What's up with this? I'm wondering because I usually perfer to draw slender beautiful body instead of a chubby or old people body. Hope someone can tell me why there's not more art of young fit body?

I had heard that you need to create a layer first? What then? I know very little about PS. Please provide me with the necessary steps and information to frame my photos. I'm sure it's a rather simple procedure.
Thanks...

I do fine with digitals! any tips would be appreciated. All my shots are at 125 or higher.

Also if you could give me some Fstops that would work well for great depth of field & shallow depth of field.

Thanks!

Does anybody like photography? Well, I do. Do you consider it art? Well, the good pieces of photography I mean. There are some bad ones.

It doesn't matter whether its about their personal life, or the painting. Google hasn't really been providing much about their personal lives, so that would be prefered!

Hello again, everyone. I have asked your opinions about different items before. Here is what's up. I am 26, just learning art for the first time. I have painted 4 pieces and am starting to learn to draw and sketch with pencil alone. Please give me your feedback on these two sketches. This are the first pencil sketches I have ever done. I have had no formal training...just trying to form a new hobby, but be decent at it. I don't want to just doodle, know what I mean? Please be honest, but avoid super rude remarks. I appreciate all of you for taking your time to answer. ; )

I can remember a number of years ago that there was a controversy over putting a sculpture in a police station in Buffalo, New York. I believe the sculpture was done in bronze, and I think it was called The Awakening. It was controversial because to some folks it appeared to be grotesque, somewhat resembling a person that had been skinned or dissected. To others, it looked like an angel. Any information or pictures would be helpful... the only image I have is the one in my head.

It seems that most of the greatest artists had a loose screw. Do you agree? I think I'm messed up in the head, but I'm not a very good artist. You decide. http://vivesoad.deviantart.com/

Need info on Enamels. The kind used on metals and such... I believe they are baked on then polished to reveal the glazed colors and what not... Any help would be appreciated! OR any advice on other coatings that are extreamly tough that can be used on metal sculptures etc that will give some texture and color...Thanks

I always hear people saying, 'oh, tabbys have great personalities' or, 'orange tabby girls tend to be aloof and mean' or 'calicos have high strung personalities' or things like that. I was just wondering if any of these comments are valid sometimes and if there are any connections between the color of the cat and typical behavoir, or if people are just talking about their own personal experience with their pets.

I sketched a friend a few days ago, and I scanned the sketch into the computer. I opened it on Paint, and I start applying color over the pencil lines while coloring the sketch in. I produced several different pictures of the person, with different expressions on. Would this be considered a form of visual art, even though it's not done by hand? And does it display any amount of artistic skill? Here's one of my "painted" versions:
