I'm basically looking for a shopping list of exactly what I'll need so that I can beggin selling photos for advertising. I want to be able to sell my photography and I figured that product photography would be the best place for me to start.

What type of Camera? Lights? Backdrops?
Will I need flashes and reflectors? Can I substitute some lights with refectors?
Do I have to use computer programs?
What is the best color film for great color saturation?

Also, any additional tips on where to beggin taking my first steps in this direction would be amazingly helpful.

I am looking to find out where this annual(I believe) event takes place where people make all sorts of flying machines & try to fly (usually Failing miserably) off the end of a pier. I remember seeing this and thought it would be a good pleace to go for the weekend with the kids for a laugh & some family fun but where is it? can any one help me please?

Does anyone own either of these two cameras? If so what do you like or dislike about your camera. I’m considering buying one of them.
EOS Digital Rebel XT Consumer reports gave it a 76 rating.
Nikon D50 Consumer reports gave it a 69 rating.
I’m a nub just reading books on digital photography and want to start with an inexpensive and easy to use camera.

I have a cannon powershot SD400 (digital camera) and i am wondering how to manually change the shutter speed. Also wondering, whenever you see cool pictures of blurred rushing water, is that because of a slow shutter speed? if so, i am wondering how to change the shutter speed to make cool pictures like that.

I would also like to know how to take a picture where the background is all blurry, but the object of the photograph is sharp, like those pictures of flowers that proffesionals take.

I have always used acryllics, but I have never tried oil paints. Can you use them on canvas? How are they similar/different from acryllics? Do you have any tips on using oil paints? And are they difficult to use?

I'm a genealogist. One of my long term goals is to scan and catalog about a thousand family photographs from 1870 to 1950. The scanning + digitial editing is old hat, but I'm finding as I go into it that I have no idea on how to properly label and catalog the digital photographic files for archiving purposes.

Keep in mind that some of the photographs depict dozens of people so putting all the names in the file name is not a solution. I want to be able to catalog them by date and by person in the photo so that I may search by either, or by general date or year.

It also has to be a catalog + naming solution that will be transferable. By this I mean that if a software becomes no longer available, I need to be able to transfer my database to something else... either through comma separated files or some other method.

I know this is an issue that others must have hit on. Does anyone have any good solutions, websites, etc.? I'd be eternally greatful for them

I need any ideas on how to make textures in watercolour paintings. I know there are a lot of stuff to use with acrylics, but in watercolours I only know how to make texturedd effect with salt, crinkled tissue or plastic wrap. Any other ideas? Thanks

My family wants to buy me a piece of art as a graduation gift, and since I'm a big Disney fan I decided I'd like a really nice Disney piece. Where should I look?
