My camera captures all images at the resolution of 72 dpi. I can't figure out what to do to capture images at 300 dpi. Please help.

After applying an oil paint ground on my painting I let it dry in my studio for 2-3 weeks. The problem is that after this time some dust particles settle on the surface of the oil paint. I have tried putting the painting in a closet, doesn't work. I cannot put cloth on it since the oil gets smudged as it comes in contact with the material.

How do I protect a wet oil painting from dust without disturbing the oil paint on it?

I already have Picasa from Google but what other free photo editing software can I download and where from. Im trying to scan old photos and then convert them to standard size so I can upload them and get them printed in a photobook.... Or do I need to buy a software suite and which one?

I bought an old picture frame with a poster of kittens in it. i decided to replace the picture the other day and discovered a charcoal painting of an old man probably in the 1920's BEHIND the poster of the kitties. The back of the photo was dated 1920 but it wasnt signed. The only thing with a name was the poster of the kittens which was titled"I know you're in there" copyright 1987. kinda neat huh? Could this be worth anything?

The image I have is a box. It is English and is made of shiny metal. Probably Silver or Puta (guess) It was made in 1880 and the style is significant!

Im wanting to scan in all my old childhood photos to then upload them to a website to have them printed in a photobook. Ive already tried but when they are scanned in they are of small size and cannot be enlarged/cropped etc and just appear in the corner of a page. What software do I need or does anyone know how I can do this easily? Please help, Im really desperate to do this so I can pass it on to my daughter in years to come.

I have a Paul Detlefsen painting titled "Horse And Buggy Days" it features a blacksmith working on an anvil in a red barn, a man paying attention to a white horse next to a black buggy, and a little boy with overalls and a straw hat standing with his hands behind his back and watching whats going on.
