you knit partway across, then stop and turn it around just like at the end of a row. to keep from getting holes at the sides, you have to: 1. bring the yarn between the needles to the front or back of the work (whichever it wasn't on before) 2. slip the next stitch after the short row onto the right-hand needle 3. turn the work 4. bring the yarn between the needles back to the side you need it on 5. slip the slipped stitch back onto the needle it came off 6. work the next row. good luck!
