I have a Paul Detlefsen painting titled "Horse And Buggy Days" it features a blacksmith working on an anvil in a red barn, a man paying attention to a white horse next to a black buggy, and a little boy with overalls and a straw hat standing with his hands behind his back and watching whats going on. I was just wondering about its date, how to find out wether it is a print or origianl, and possibly how much it is worth. Thank-You All.

Hey Brodster,

Sounds like the painting that was over my parents mantel when we were growing up. Of course ours was not an original. It is one of the most popular paintings ever done. See the sites in the first URL Below. I strongly suspect it only worth a little, and that would be to you. If you did have the original, it would be worth a bit of money. Check some of the Fine arts sites.

I used to sell alot of his reproductions. Try your local museum. By the way, was that the picture crossing a stream?
