Anyone wanna make me famous? Post as many answers as you can I guess... I wanna be an actress someday....I love drama...I love acting...I love the idea of stepping outside of yourself and becoming someone else entirely.
But I'm, well, broke. I can't nearly get the publicity I need to make it. Can you help me out? If you know a Director or a producer who needs extras or new faces, why not me?
If you feel like helping me get famous, I'm of course a girl, teenager for two more years, and I consider myself awesome to work with...I know this is probably corny, but it's my dream to become an actress, and what with not exactly having the funding, I figured, why not. If you think I deserve a chance, say "Here here!"
-Thanx so much,

Instead of the "devil walking Salem," John Proctor says, "vengeance is walking Salem." Explain how this is true. Examine the motivations for the witch hunts and examine the consequences that follow. Besides the deaths, what happended to the community and its, values, morals, way of life?

I live in Orange County, only an hour away from LA. I have blonde hair, am white, am 5'6" and 104 lb. Where can I start? Commercials, reality tv, films, short films... Any suggestions and places where I can find auditions would be most helpful. Thanks!

I've auditioned for a role at the community theater (belonging to a community college I attend) a few days ago. I'm actually in one of their plays right now. It takes seven weeks, and at least three hours a day, four days a week. It's hard work, though I like it.

But I'm starting to feel, is this worth it? Because I'm not even the main character, and I'm not theater major. My major has nothing to do with acting. I'm getting little to no transfer credit from this, though I guess I could put that I was in a play in my transcript.

Please help!

In hamlet's soliloquy at 2.2.567, why does he seem so angry with himself?

What evidence is there that he is torn between actions and words?

What does Hamlet say in that speech about why he's angry at himself? What does he say about words? What action does he say that he should be taking? (A hint -- "kites" in this speech are not children's toys, but birds that feed on carrion.) Who is he talking about when he says "this slave" and "Bloody, bawdy villain!" Remorseless, treacherous, lecherous, kindles villain!"? What does he think he should be doing to that person? How does he feel about himself for not doing it?

im not asking to have all these questions answered but a couple here and there would be wonderful and thank alot!!!!

I have to play Major Ross in the second rehearsal of Our Country's good.
Ross is the superior officer and holds the power, he is evil but does not need to shout to get across his power. HE says; they jump. However i need to perfect my stage presence and, in particular, my voice for the lines. I'm struggling with how to get the audience to hate my character and to really get across the slimy evil of Ross. At one point he humiliates the convicts by making them act like dogs ("Wag your tail, Bryant, Bark!") and tries to get a timid convict to reveal the tattoo on her thingh ("where's your tattoo, brenham? Why don't you show us? I can't see it. Show us.")
Any tips on presence and how to portray evil (without shouting and too much physical abuse)?

I have the opportunity to audition for a really reputable theatre company that does national tours (for children). The problem is this: Its only a six month contract and I have a good job (not in the theatre). I wouldn't be able to take a leave of absence, I'd have to quit my job entirely. I've been here for about a year and I don't really like it but it pays well, has good benefits, etc.
What should I do?
