I live in Orange County, only an hour away from LA. I have blonde hair, am white, am 5'6" and 104 lb. Where can I start? Commercials, reality tv, films, short films... Any suggestions and places where I can find auditions would be most helpful. Thanks!

Stop the madness! This question is ASKED and ANSWERED at least a hundred or more times a week on this site! It's the same old same old. Some teen thinks they are going to make the bigtime and asks the rest of us how to do it. Dear, you are a minor! I suggest you get your parents involved in this. The business is VERY tough and most people NEVER get their foot in the door. Most people in the business today had connections (parents in the business and that sort of thing). I suggest you tell your parents what it is you are aiming for and don't be surprised if they tell you to get a good solid education. That is really the key to a good future. And DON'T put your vital statistics here on the Web. The next thing you know you will be contacted by perverts claiming to be directors and producers and modeling agents, etc. Keep your private stuff private!

certainly there are other ambitions you have, child...that is a very difficult to start as a "nobody" with no connections and no training...
the old fashion way would be with voice, singing and dance lessons, followed by acting, wouldn't hurt to be able to sing well,
a true entertainer is an artist in their soul, with the self discipline of an artist to see a project (and a life situation) through... not just what we see in some of the headliner spoiled brat hollow headed snot-nosed ne'er do wells that call themselves actors and actresses and singers...

Have a look at this page link. I'm sure it has most of the information you might be looking for. For more information about the LA area, you might want to go to backstage.com. They will be able to give you some more specific information about LA. In the meantime, check this page out: http://www.actingcareerstartup.com/teen_acting.html

see my answer for the second question above this one. You have to have at least one of your parents working hard to get you into the business. If they have any questions have them contact me at my aol address in my profile. I am a retired actor who helps aspiring actors for free.
