How can I become an actress???

I'm 13, and I really want to be an actress. Does anyone know where I should start?.. or get an acting job??

Drama groups, but 13 is a little old to start!! I'm 18 and have been acting for 14 years. Now i've got a job on High School Musical 3. It takes lots of auditions, lots of experinece and lots of talent. You've got to have something that no-one else has to do singing and dancing lessons too!

it would be good to go to an acting school and get 8x10 photos of yourself (headshots), and there are plays around town that you can audition for. learn some monologues (little speeches about 2 minutes long) to perform in front of casting people. besides a good acting school, there are really cool library books that will give you great inside information on how to do auditions and how to pursue acting. good luck and remember, the most important thing to do is to just keep trying and not give up. be persisitent and tenacious in your pursuit of acting. take care and super good luck!!! you start in your school plays. to become a professional you need your parents to work very hard to get you experience, training and an agent which could take several years.

if your good at acting, go to an audition somewhere for a minor part, if you are good, then you can be "discovered"
