I want to join a casting agency but only want to do "walk on parts" or maybe adverts.

Ever since I can remember, I've had a dream to become an actor but was always afraid of what everyone else would think or that they would laugh at me (and not because I was telling a funny joke). I want this badly. It is all I think about most of the time. I have not persued it till now because I am always doing what everyone expects of me. I have always been the responsible one to take care of things and work hard to make 'em proud. It keeps me from being happy because I have waited so long. I am 34 years old. I have a wife and two children and need my regular job. Anyway, I live in the Houston area. I have an appointment with a talent agency in Houston in a couple of weeks and they want me to memorize a monologue and "act' it when I meet with them. I am scared to death. Like I said, I want it but have never done this before so I don't know what to expect. I don't have a monologue. It can be either comedic or dramatic. Any tips, suggestions? What do you think?

I am called back for the part of Laura in Glass Menagerie, and she is totally different from anything I've ever done! I'm pretty much happy and like to party and hang out and social and flirty and she's not. I know you will say that I should focus on what Laura WANTS to be and not what she IS, but I'm afraid if I do that I'll seem too outgoing. What should I do? I really really want to do this show. And no it's not for money.

I am auditioning for A Midsummer Night's Dream in augeust at my school. I've never really been nervious for an audtion before, but with this one I am. I'm only 5'3" and I am afraid that I won't get the part because I'm to short. There are two girls who want to audition for Hermia that are smaller than me, but other than that I'm one of the shortest.

I was wondering if there was anyway for me to appear taller for the audition/show besides wearing slight heels.

I'm a nineteen, almost twenty year old actress that's just starting out. Would it be worth it to audition for a role where the age range is 25-30? I look my age but I might be able to pull off almost twenty-five. Would it be worth it to audition, or would I just be wasting the director's time?

I'm assuming you get jobs by casting calls so do you think the casting calls are better in NY or CA? Do you have to have an agent to find out about casting calls? If not how do you find out about them?
