has anyone seen Spring awakening?

alright seriously could i get some answers from musical theatre buffs. a "no" doesn't quite cut it...

One of my friends saw it a couple weeks ago. He said that it was enjoyable to watch- the music was catchy and the staging interesting, but it wasn't nearly as hard-hitting as the original play.

I just saw it less then a week ago and I absolutely loved it! Highly recemmended!
