E.g., In my case - my friend said I had no emotional content.

People have said that he is trying to 'change' me.

But isnt having influence on someone to make them a better person actually GOOD?

All the people In my life I respect have influence (positive) and this is a form of 'control'.

So WHY do we confuse ourselves with condradictions?

If my knowledge of philosophy is darn thin, does that mean I am ignorant. I took a short online quiz about philosophy http://www.tuitionplaza.com/tutoring/question.asp?GID=23&FID=0&dbqp=25175 but got it all wrong. So am I stupid? If you know philosophy, does that mean you are smart?

Iraq seems to be coming into alignment with the initial policy and procedures employed/deployed into that arena. This example is a great one for explaining what that saying means and asking if a valid case can be made for this case study in particular.

the mental causation problem, one that has been around for a while asks how can a mental activity cause a physical activity? many philosophers are discontent with a physicalistic solution because mental life is not reducible into physicalistic terms and concepts.
however arent the mental processes that bring about action physical themselves (electrical impulses, neurotransmitters)? or does the problem arise from the step before these mental processes begin? or is it the reasons, decisions, and causes that cannot be given physical attributes to?
