… that you do whatever you may like, or you may turn any way you could, but ultimately you will reach the same pre-ordained destinations in life as you are destined to reach.

Destiny leads our path. Whatever we do in life has its pre-determined path. In other words it is already written in our hands that is the way we are going to and will be the journey to follow. There might be some lapses but in the end it will be the same destiny. Therefore, i do believe in destiny.

Thanks for asking. Have a great day!

I think I'm alive for a reason, so there was an intention behind my existence. So in this sense, in this life, there is a kind of destination. But this destiny I feel has more to do with taking an essential step in one's personal evolution. I don't see that what happens physically in my life is part of my destiny, it is more like if one can look at all that one has done, one can see across all the aspects and ascertain a deeper meaning.

One step leads to another, and also I see my life this way, as a long eternal continuum, with no beginning and no end. Thus for me there isn't really any pre-ordained destiny, as there is nothing to be reached, there are only steps.

Yet there does seem to be a kind of destiny that we all share as being humans on earth, and that is to come to full realization through our experience in the physical plane of objects, vibrations and reactions. So we keep taking steps like that while we are here. Then I can imagine that when one reaches full realization, then the idea of having a pre-ordained destiny will become lessoned because one will no longer be subject to having to be born again.

I don't believe in destiny, or in fate. People make the best of bad situations and enjoy good ones, then turn around and justify it all by saying that it was meant to be. I imagine that's very comforting when you're going through a rough patch, otherwise I just don't get it.

It seems like if I believed in destiny or fate I'd be much more likely to let opportunities get away, because if it got to rough I could just say that 'it wasn't meant to be' and move on, instead of keeping up the fight.

However, I know a couple people who are really in to that sort of thing and they're far from fatalistic, so I'm probably in the minority there.

I believe in destiny but also in free will.

Both can be synthesized.

Our destiny can be good or bad and therefore can influence our free choice or will.

Conversely, our free will CAN change our destiny But how?

Between destiny and free will, there must be a mediator, for it's impossible and not warranted to think in terms of two extremes alone, without intermediaries.

And standing between the two, among other things, is DISCERNMENT.

We have the faculty of reason, yes, but it doesn't cast a spotlight on the path we should take. What reason is to humans is what discernment is to a higher plane of our evolutionary, nay, spiritual, progression.

So tell me, what lies between good and bad, and love and hate, unless there's a divine force that bridge the two like destiny and free will?

After seeing what I have in my life, I no longer believe we are the 'sole' makers of our own life. That is for the very young, naive and the innocents. We can make the choices, agreed, but the choices (offered) are made by the destiny.

There are forces beyond our control working for or against us, and then there are what we call incidences or coincidences which compell us to take a certain course, sometimes against our wishes. I choose to call is Karma, Kismet, Taqdeer, Naseeb, Or, Destiny if you will...

The future doesn't exist. There is no set of events carved in stone. Nothing is pre-ordained per se.

But, cause does lead inexorably to effect. So, for example, you could say we are all destined to die. But this is not because our deaths are part of a pre-existent fabric of time, it's just the nature of our species. You aren't destined to die on a given day, but it's unlikely you'll live much past 100 years

A certain destiny is created when we are born. But how that destiny is fulfilled is determined by our own actions and the surroundings in which we live. There might be danger of an accident in your destiny, but whether you break your spine or a tooth is dependent on other things.

I do believe in destiny to a certain degree.

I believe we can choose certain paths in life & those paths or lines lead to conclusions with slip ups & victories of sorts along the way.
I don't really believe our lives are planned out, but I do believe certain souls have to meet other certain souls & when they do, that is destiny.

I believe most of us are offered a choice of which roads to follow in life. I also believe there are certian rare individuals that, yes, seem to have a preordained destiny.

Destiny is only for a few, Destiny is the fulfilment of your potential, in order to fulfil your potential you must function properly. For most people, they are dysfunctional and fail to meet a small portion of their potential. Functioning requires hard work, mentally, physically and spiritually. most people are too content or lazy to make any effort.
