Sea captains were treated like gods on board ship because they had absolute power over life and death of the crew in their charge. In days centuries past, it took so long for a ship to reach it's destination that discipline was of the utmost importance. A captain could not afford for his crew or officers to hold him in contempt, his orders needed to be carried out instantly and with no argument, the lives of him and all on the ship depended on it.
In the 1700's a captain and his crew often sailed the world, encountering many hazards that today's navy would simply brush aside. hostile countries, pirates, wars, lack of proper food and water, evil living conditions all seeds from which discontent could grow. Without stern discipline by the captain and his senior officers, sailors would not have existed, on-one would have sailed the seven seas, life on ship was not a pleasure cruise.
At sea on board ship, who do you run to for help? You cannot nip out to the police station and make a complaint, you cannot decide you want to resign, you cannot escape!
The captain decides what you do, when you do it, when you eat, when you sleep and even if you die. That is why captains were treated like gods, because on board ship they were!

The Bible alleges to be a purveyor of fact and peace. yet genuinely, this is a risky e book. it would want to be compared to the worst of technology fiction. It promotes witchcraft and voodoo. The e book talks about human beings increasing from the lifeless, one individual being became right into a pillar of salt, serpents, and timber that mysteriously burst into flames. The e book promotes hatred of variety.
