I am currently training for my soon to be career. Everyone tells me I'm so lucky to know what I want, and even be able to do what I want, while most people can only dream about it.

I, on the other hand, feel like my life is a constant struggle in order to reach goals that I set years ahead of myself, and by the time I reach one, I have the next one waiting one or two years ahead of me, hence never really feel satisfied, even though I might accomplish all my goals one by one. Whenever I take one big step ahead, I can't stop thinking that my next goal is waiting, and there is no time to celebrate.

Sometimes I feel like people who just live for the day feel more content. Even though they might not accomplish as much in life, but they are happier. This has been bothering me for a while now. What do you all think?

In my limited time being alive (22 years) I have started to regard any form of truth being construed to a degree where it is basically situational. I've been researching logic, and am wondering if truth in itself is a fallacy? With as many variables and chaos the Earth has, how can one reason truth out of scenarios constantly under change?

Do you discuss your own philosophy about life to others or yourself, and if you do, is it your philosophy and not the thoughts and words of another philosopher.

hey guys im having to take Nietzsche's ''What, then, is truth?... etc." excerpt and find an example of how its been applied today either from other writers, scholars or teachers.

any help??

**here's the whole quote:
"What then is truth? A mobile army of metaphors, metonyms, and anthropomorphisms -- in short, a sum of human relations, which have been enhanced, transposed, and embellished poetically and rhetorically, and which after long use seem firm, canonical, and obligatory to a people: truths are illusions about which one has forgotten that is what they are; metaphors which are worn out and without sensuous power; coins which have lost their pictures and now matter only as metal, no longer as coins."

If you determine your motives for any particular decision to be good, is that not colored by the fact that they are your motives and you want to have pure intentions?

If you determine said motives to be bad, could that be the fault of "over-correcting" for the above mindset? Or, if you truly have bad motives, do you really want to know this?

For example, if one says "I want to be rich so I can help a lot of people," does that include the fact that he or she will then obviously have more than enough for themselves?

However, if you refuse to judge your own motives, you then have no basis for doing anything, correct?
