If we invented a computer that had self awareness, advanced (superior) intelligence, and compassion, and we intentionally turned the power off, which would destroy the computer.

Is it to benifit the society or to control the mob? Is the business of government social or capital? I ask this in philosophy because it requires a philosophical answer.

Now already it can be considered a cult: you have a central figure in it (the DJ, MC); you have various means of changing the state of mind (often use of drugs, loud, low pitched repeating sounds); ceremony (dancing, light effects) and all for the sake of feeling the spirit of unity and worshiping (where worshiping would be directed to technocraty and, in a way, science - the drugs are often synthetic, the sound and the light are very often electronic and, partially, mechanic, the central figure acts as a contact between the worshipers and their goal). Since all of this (a central figure, changing the state of mind and ceremony) can be found, with the exact same purpose, in many early, and even contemporary cults, and since we know that a cult can develope into a religion, or become a part of some religion, do you think this could happen to techno (culture)? Also, would you agree that right now, it is a cult?

Interesting guy. I'm reading Thus Spoke Zarathustra right now and have found it quite refreshing. Nietzsche was very eccentric but still had an extremely strong and grounded perception of the world.

Anyway, what are your critiques, if any, of what he had to say?

Basically, I just want to find out if an abundance of money makes a persons life easier? I'm not choosing the word happiness because some high rated study recently proved that money does not bring happiness, but the study did not prove nor look for the possibility of making life easier. Now by easier I mean staying alive. Meaning not be dead. Now the situation I chose was a rather simple one. A middle class person passed out and was rushed to the hospital. He was told that he needs a new heart. The hospital says there is one available with same blood type and dimensions. However, his insurance will only pay for a portion of it. The rest he needs to come up with. Lets say it is 50,000 dollars. Lets say he does not have the money. He doesn't get a heart and dies. Now lets say, the same situation occurs, but with a person who does have 50,000 dollars. The man gives the hospital 50,000 and the person gets their heart and lives. Does the person with 50,000 make him better than the other?

"The embryonic and fetal stages of human development are the most peaceful times of our lives. We know nothing. We simply exist, without control, completely dependent upon outside forces for our very survival. We quietly accept our delicate situation and continue to develop, entirely unknowing of whether or not we will survive until our mother’s next meal or until we have lived for one hundred years. We innately recognize our vulnerability, and we exist solely in the moment. The moment we are conceived, we master Zen."

What are your thoughts?

I feel like anyone I meet at school or whereever I'll never see again in a few years. So I feel no connection, no point. If I go through life and don't affect anyone's life, what am I in the existance of the world? I'll just always have my own thoughts and ideas, but it'll never be worth anything if it only affects me. I feel like if I don't somehow contribute to society, I'm failing the world as a living thing. Which I guess I have been doing most my life. I've always felt like I personally need to do something that will affect the world, but on the contrary, I hardly participate in life at all. But even if I would do normal social things, etc., I feel like it's not going to affect anything. I just want things to be better, but it's out of reach.

Knowing what would happen if they were born, would you go back in time and try and talk Hitler's mother into having an abortion? Stop OBL mother from giving birth to him? How about Lee Harvey Oswald's mother? Or Mark David Chapman?

A woman I find to be "beautiful", usually turns out to be a good-natured woman with a charming personality & humor. I can ascertain this as soon as I just look at her face.

Do you agree that a woman's looks reflect her character, values and personality etc? If she was a *****, I'd know that too from just looking at her, rather than going through the dating process in either case.
