I agree with sophist and isee but what they've said is only part of "the secret". It's not really secret, like a guarded thing that only the initiated can know. It's called secret because it cannot be spoken and it cannot be spoken because there are no words to truly describe it.

All I can say is the core of the secret is that we are all One. You, me, animals, plants, rocks, stars, planets, and the spaces between them...metaphorically and literally, we are One. Yes, the implications of this are colossal. And, yes, it means that a lot of modern life, like image and status, are meaningless. And it means that when you hurt another, you hurt yourself, literally.

Words cannot hold the vastness of this understanding. You have to experience it for yourself, which is part of the secret.

There are many good teachings within the secret of life,i.e. visualization, positive thinking etc..etc..However,... but... there's always a "but" It does not answer the question of purpose.
Einstein spent his last days looking for why? Its great to have more creative control over your life; but still, whats life's purpose? And without an adequate answer to this larger question, the secret of life is just a motivational tool and there is nothing wrong with that.
Napoleon Hill " Think and grow Rich." comes to mind. I wish I had more time and space; that said, I hope I have helped in some small way. Peace!

Let me start out by saying it's not "23".

The secret to life is what you life for on a daily basis. It can be for any reason. Mostly people are energized by contentment when they are doing the little things during that day that are important to either someone else or themselves. It's when they run out of things to do that they become bored or restless. The secret to live is contentment found in purposeful living.
