If we invented a computer that had self awareness, advanced (superior) intelligence, and compassion, and we intentionally turned the power off, which would destroy the computer.

only if it had rights, and you cant have rights without responsibilty. i think maybe they would have to treat it like an animal, with respect an some "rights" but not as a developed human being

Nothing, listen NOTHING can have superior intelligence to the human being as truth is found by only by humans. A computer, product of human, will never compare to human, product of love. NO IT WOULD NOT BE MURDER!

Well then it wouldn`t b a computer would it?The difference between computers and humans is the ability to think and feel. But..logic aside ..if it were possible .yup it would b murder in the cruelest way

If a tree falls in the woods and know one was a round to hear it would it make a sound. yes if you are god and no if you are deaf and know if i made you think about it cause there is a tree somewhere falling out there and its know were near a computer. God bless the dead let them bury themselves.

well, NO. obviously, a computer isnt a living thing so by turning it off, all that would happen is that we dont get the pleasure of that all powerfull computer

Any man made thing cannot actually ever be alive, so no. The campassion, self-awareness etc. is all artifical since we made it.

if you don't value or respect your creation,and hence yourself, enough to operate it in a good manner, then that speaks wholly about you.
