I understand your concern, I am Pro-Life. There are people that for one excuse or another, usually selfish reasons, who abort a life, at a drop of a hat. I have known one girl who aborted 7 times, I would talk to her about it. She was a room-mate of mine years ago. She put up a good debate, and truly believed and justified her type of birth control of hers. But, she had to move out of State (__,US) because the Dr.'s had her barred from getting any more. To me this is an extreme example of premeditated murder, as much as premeditating to strap someone down to a table and execute them on Death Row.(Sorry I strayed from your ?).
All in all, I believe God would intervene, and He did give us Jesus, His Son, to save our souls. The world, as we know it physically, is being trashed as we speak. Jesus, came, and will come again. I understand your thoughts on this, but try to deepen your thoughts in Religion, or belief in God. Try prayer, and meditate on the positive.
In addition, I say Jesus is the only Man that died for our salvation. I'm sure of this...I don't know any other Man or Woman who did this for us. Do not doubt this. He did this for you too.
What's sad here, is I will get neg. feedback. What's more...I don't care.

I think this question is a little glib considering the serious nature of this issue. Whilst I am pro-abortion atheist I don't think an abortion is "saving" anyone from anything, it is a regrettable action that should only be undertaken after serious thought. Please also remember that anti-abortion is not exclusively the realm of the relgious. I can understand people having strong opinons on the subject and whilst I am pro-choice I hope I never have to be involved in such a decision with a partner.

'We' can't abort a child.

Herod didn't try to abort a child. Herod murdered born male children from the age of two years and under.

Quite different.

You never know...Personally I don't believe in abortion. It is murder to me. No different than infanticide or any other form of killing. Once a life is created, at conception, that is a person. Destroying them is destroying a life. Each of us is meant to exist and has a right to exist.

The population certainly is out of control. I remember my economics teacher saying in high school that one day we may actually outweigh the planet. We certainly do ravage it. Who knows how long it will sustain us? Abortion is not a form of birth control. It is destroying an innocent life that already began. People need to be more educated about forms of birth control & take the right precautions before engaging in sexual activity. Murdering your child because they are unwanted or an inconvenience is an abomination. A mother who strangles her child in his crib is arrested. A woman who kills her child several months earlier, while he is still in her womb is condoned & labelled "pro-choice." I've never understood that. When does someone become human? At what point? How do you decide? What's the value of human life? Maybe it's because I had to watch anti-abortion films at my catholic high school & I saw what happens to fetuses. It's horrifying.

The abortion issue aside, I don't know if anyone could save the world. Except maybe Jesus. But I don't think we'll see Him until the end, when He will usher us into Heaven.

We don't have to worry about the child that will save the world being aborted. God has already made sure that would not happen. If one believes in divine providence, then one has to believe that God is overseeing the world in some way: He governs and directs the cosmos. However, I understand your point. I think that abortion is murder. It destroys intelligent life and potential good things. Even if it removes a potential Hitler, it is not worth it. For God also takes care of this world's Hitlers in His due time.

What if one of the Jews who were gassed at Auswitz would've invented the cure to cancer? What if one of the persons who died last week in a car wreck had the solution to global warming? What if alot of people lived to carryout some great discovery? Keeping everyone alive or extending life as much as possible will accelerate the train wreck this world is on.

In 50 years, at our current rate of growth, there will be 10 billion souls on this planet, mostly in the third world countries. There'll be zero fossil fuels, zero coal and other natural resources. Animal life will nearly be extinct not having the ability to fight against man's encroachments.

Ethically and morally, it might be nice to continue to wear our rose-colored glasses, to extend our lives, to save as many poor as possible, to not have abortions, but the reality is a train wreck ahead of us.

Sorry. Not much of an argument.
What if we already aborted the next Adolf Hitler?
A certain number of children will be born, others not, with abortion or not. Some will be very good, a few very bad, the great majority somewhere in between.

it's not that easy, bub. All of the children (including you ) have to save the world. It's just a convenitnt myth that one person is going to take care of all that for us. We can't just keep assuming someone will come along and make it all better just because Santa Claus or the tooth fairy said so about 2,000 years ago. Start conserving. Do your part. What if the child who would have saved the world played nintendo instead?

This is exactly why I hate abortion.

We're killing off not just innocent infants, but also endless potential. Every one of the babies that have been killed could have been someone wonderful. They could have grown up to be a hero. They could have been someone's soul mate. The possibilities are endless, but only as long as we give them a chance at life.

If people don't want to have children, there are other methods besides murder. Birth control pills, condums, abstinence even. Anything but killing something so pure.

People are cowards. You wouldn't be able to kill that baby if you could hear it scream, see its pain and suffering, watch it die. No. But of course, you have no problem murdering something that you don't have to see.
