What is the meaning of a cloud?

A simple fluffy cloud in the blue sky.

I do not seek a definition, as we know where to look for that,
what I seek is the "meaning"
just as one seeks the "meaning" of life ect

"Clouds come from time to time
To give to men a chance to rest
From looking at the moon"

This is a rough translation of a haiku by Japanese poet, Basho.

Just a small rest from that beautiful Sun. A 15 second reminder to hydrate and rest for a second. Take that time to be grateful for all that we have. We are so dependent on the sun for our glorious bounty of our fruits and vegetables, the grass that feeds our livestock And some now even warm their homes. A Beautiful cloud reminds us, (more sunblock, a drink of water, and a second to "think"!) A gorgeous sunny sky is a dream, and it is so nice too! But after a few without a"CLOUD" it is painful! Give me a Cloud every hour, and I am so happy! Good one!

Funny you should ask. I've been watching the clouds; they've been beautiful for days and days, so many days in a row. And what I think of when I get entranced by the sky is how beautiful Earth looks from space. Saturn's popular, coz of its rings, and Jupiter's too huge to not be in awe of, but Earth...surely Earth is the most beautiful with its blues and greens and swathes of clouds...

So there's my take on it. Like a woman's hair, Earth's beauty is enhanced by its adornment of clouds.

It does not have a meaning at all, just waiting 'till someone will put it...You may conclude wisely by beautifying a whole thing with cloud in it...Does beauty has a meaning? Nope...it just is... but there is crowd of meaning seekers will screw simple beingness with a bunch of created meanings ready to put on...greatness of existence is vastly reduced and framed by our meanings, complexes of our minds don't you see that? The most scary thing is that everything which we defined becoming as we defined it....That where limitation came from...from us...Then we seeking beauty, and, instead drowning in terms and definitions within "intellectual" swamp. Life is a meaning within itself, and there is no "without"

Methinks the clouds meaning is that God is the greatest painter the world has ever seen, and everyday we are treated to a different picture from one who never ceases.

Clouds have no inherent meaning. Any meaning associated with a cloud is assigned (and interpreted) by the observer.
