when your sitting infront of the TV, think "am i watching tv, or is the tv watching me?"

or how about, the world, all of this could just be a reality show to god, and hes just laughing it up as we speak.

what do youuuu say.

would the power to create just about anything create more good or bad? what would you do with that power? will such power drive you insane? if you had such power, what do you think could be your ultimate creation or expression? and what would be the purpose of such creation?

and do you think the worthiness of our life lies on what we do with our capabilities? if so, then can a person who is severely handicapped still lead a life of worthiness? or would his life never be of any worth?

i understand people need something to have faith in.

But why cant that faith be put in themselves, not a book?

you can have your moral, your pride and be humble, by following your heart instead cant you?

im sure if god or whatever was real, he would be happier knowing that your life right because you valued your life and the world around you, as an oppose to just being fearful of him.

sure, theres a higher power than us. infact i belive theres many.

why not be greatful for the ones that you actually know exist (the elements)?

why not live for yourself?

MMMMKay. This is just the beginning of a philosophical essay, but tell me what you think and make any suggestions if you have them!! Keep in mind that I am an Honors 10 (10th grade) English student, so don't be too rough on me!! =] Thanx.

I believe that one should appreciate life’s conveniences, but be grateful for its hardships.
While the conveniences of life should be appreciated and enjoyed, it is the struggles that one endures that cultivate insight, as well as awareness and knowledge. Why is pity so often offered to those who endure great hardship in their lives, and not envy? The forbearing people who tolerate and overcome these adversities gain so much more than those who live the carefree and glamorous lives that are so commonly sought after. They gain a greater sense of perseverance and self-awareness and perceive issues in such a more insightful manner. Conveniences are life’s “coffee breaks”, but hardships are the tough life lessons that shape and mold who we become and what we will see, hear, and believe for the rest of our lives.

My wife recently went to our relatively new pastor some counceling because she was afraid that if she unloaded anymore on her friends it would border on abuse. The pastor told her that ALL her problems stem from unresolved sin im her life. What he did not hear her say was that all of our financial issues stem from the brain tumor I was BORN with. So, getting to the question....WAS I BORN INTO ALL OF THIS MISERY BECAUSE OF UNRESOLVED SIN IN MY LIFE? I KNOW GOD IS LOVE, I HAVE EXPERIENCED HIS LOVE, AND MERCY, SOOOOO.....WHY DOES THIS PASTOR WANT TO MAKE GOD OUT TO BE A BULLY?

I mean, I remember people caring about the way they spoke, etiquette, self respect. There was a beauty in our country that was simple. Yards were kept up. Cars were beautiful, people cared if there was trash or dirt on the streets, so they maintained it clean (they did, not depending on city sweepers) People dressed beautifully. Most importantly people had faith in God, and respected God. Now a days everyone including corporate commercials are into, let's see how foul we can be and lets see how far we can go with foul language, and no principles or morals. How can we be so blind as to want all this instead of the goodness in all things around us? Are people actually weakening and going around blindly by the powers Satan has cast over them? Driving around in new cars, having credit cards, using foul language and thinking "oh it's cool". Never opening up the bible or getting on their knees to pray? It's not a pretty sight. from the vessel.

Why do we keep asking that anyway? Isn’t that just wasting our time? Are we going to get something for nothing here? Why am I still asking you all about this?

There must be some sort of common denominator in all the religions and philosophies that we can extract to acheive total enlightenment. I don't have time to study everything, so please let me now what you think. Its all about making connections, so maybe I can find the thread that connects everthing through your answers.
