Some people feel the need to want others to be seen in a bad light to take the focus off of them. (Putrid degradation was the proper term).

Its like high school if your not in there "click" then you are nothing. People are more worried about wjhat other people think than doing what they want to do. If everyone just followed their heart and did what they thought was right we wouldn't have this problem.
For example i asked out this kid yesterday. And he told me he really liked me. Then the second his friends said something bad about me he went right with them. I may be in his "popular click" but im not up to his friends standards and thats what matters more.
