are you more alarmed by something that might befall you later, or by something you might miss out on?

extra credit: what steps can you take NOW to avoid these unpleasant consequences LATER?

Isn't it rather self-defeating, to have gobs of chubbieness hanging out where it should not be flaunted ? To some of us males, we shudder at the sight, simply because it makes us nauscious & extremely queasy,...

Oh I'm quite sympathetic, as i used to weigh about 473 lbs. myself - about 8 years ago.

I got sick of seeing myself every day, so I gave in and bought a bowflex. It took a long long looonnngg time, but I'm better now, and i still have a little self indulgence with the goodies - in moderation. I'm not ready to give up the little things that makes living worth - living my life a little better.

im getting disillusioned. Some of the reasons i can think of are religious, karma and conscience. Anyone has other unique reasons? I'm not religious and i dun believe in karma (seems so selfish), so i believe tt i hav a conscience. Sometimes i wonder why i'm do all these kind deeds which are not appreciated and get me treated like a fool. And all these obnoxious and ugly ppl who jus make me wanna give up doing them, like wat i'm doing jus benefits them only. Feel like minding my own business now, go into self-isolation and leave them. Jus wanna hear other reasons which may convince me otherwise, and from ppl who may hav had similar experiences...

Wouldn't the existence or non-existence of a deity lend itself more to observable fact while right and wrong will seemingly always inhabit the realm of opinion?

And would not a deity simply be yet one more level of entity that ITSELF could either be right or wrong?

Isn't absolute morality itself relative, if two cultures have completely antithetical beliefs and both insist their beliefs are absolute and everyone else is wrong? Isn't "absolute" more a factor of how many people agree? If not, and assuming deities would only be another level of entity or existence, then what additional "thing" (for lack of a better word) would be the arbiter of absoluteness of right and wrong?

(This is for theists and atheists alike, so both of you, please think outside the box for a moment. I hate to qualify this, but if you respond with something like "the Bible says" you aren't answering any question, you're evading it.)

Why? Who? Whom? Which? Whose? What? When? Where?
If your answer is: "yes" = x points and it is: "no" = X points. It's very wonderful. "If you pay not a servant his wages he will pay himself." Congratulation for your new points.

I've found some cheaters, or at least what appear to be people with multiple accounts, or a group of friends that vote for each others answers, or something to do with promoting Napolean Hill

Anyway, is this at all wrong? I feel it is, but then I realize that voted on answers are usually worse then answers chosen by askers. I also have to wonder, if more people voted would that fix the problem or make it worse :P

I feel it's wrong because it seems like they are just promoting things, some of what they say is just wrong, like the 10% of the brain myth :P

Oh and by the way I already turned it in just so it wouldn't be cheating and I made a A+. So letts see who gets an A+ like me.

Thanks

Whenever I think about the universe, I cannot escape the concept that the dimensions are infinite - both in size and in time. I agree there must be a finite amount of matter in the universe. But if you took all of that matter out you're still left with an infinite void we call space.

I also cannot imagine the universe ever being created. I believe that the finite amount of matter in the universe has always been the same number but has existed in different mediums - i.e. gas, solid or liquid. The altering states of matter occur because of big bangs - which are just an infinite series of chain reactions. All of this has been going on forever and there has never been a beginning.

But this infinity means there could not have been a creator. If there was no creator then we're here by accident. We weren't created for purpose. When the end of the world comes, it won't matter. Maybe it's this lack of meaning/purpose which is unnerving for me?

Don't you see us getting closer to that every day? Just look at the writing done on this site among other things. Think of the cameras everywhere and phone tapping.
